A factory for auto parts for Germany will be set up in Romania

A factory to supply auto parts to companies in the auto industry in Germany will be set up, in March, in Calafat, city which faces a serious lack of work places.

The company which will set up the factory of auto parts was recently founded in Calafat and will have partners in the auto industry in Germany. For the investment, the company acquired five warehouses of a former factory for equipment parts, paying for it almost 300,000 euro.

‘We estimate that the factory will be opened in March. When the factory grows, there will be approximately one hundred workers. The production will be made up of interior parts for cars, plastic parts for the dashboard, parts for the interior of doors’ Mihail Tenescu, the representative of the company says.

He also stated that a part of the necessary equipment for the factory was acquired and is going to be brought to Calafat. The factory in the city on the Danube will produce parts for partners in the auto industry in Germany. Tenescu did not mention for the moment the companies he was talking about.

The set up of this factory is more than welcome, says the mayor of Calafat, city wich has an acute lack of work places. Out of the almost 18,000 inhabitants, only 2,000 are employed.
