Companies with suspended activity down 72.1 pct in first half of 2011

The number of the companies that suspended their activity plunged sharply by 72.1 percent in the first half of 2011 whereas the number of the new firms edged up 21 percent compared with the same period of last year, according to the statistics of the National Trade Register Office (ONRC). Compared with 2010, when 42,598 companies have suspended their activity nationwide in the first six months, in 2011 this number went down to 11,877, namely a decline of nearly 72.1 percent. ...
