Electrica Group posted profits of 142 million lei inQ1 of 2016
The Electrica Group posted net consolidated profits of 142 million lei in the first quarter of 2016, up by 12 per cent year on year, according to a company's release on Monday.
Operational profits were 170 million lei, up by 19pct YOY, on operational income of 1.518 billion lei, up by 6pct, and operational expenditure of 1.347 billion lei, up by 5pct. The expenditure advanced mainly because of greater purchases of electricity for increased distribution and supply.
As tariffs decreased, distribution income was lower by 10pct, although the distribution of electricity grew by 3pct. Supply income advanced by 3pct, on 8pct more energy supplied, also on a Q1 2015 basis.
Electrica plans investments of 834 million lei this year.
Electrica, the leader in electricity distribution and supply in Romania, posted consolidated profits up by 17pct to 482 million lei in 2015. Its area of operation includes three areas, namely Transylvania North and South, and Muntenia North. The company offers maintenance and energy services throughout the country.
