Romanian business software company Softelligence said on Tuesday it plans to hire 100 developers by the end of next year in its software engineering office in Craiova, seenews.com reports.

Softelligence plans to hire both experienced IT specialists and entry level programmers, the company said in a press release.

The Softelligence Engineering office in Craiova, in southern Romania, was inaugurated at the beginning of this year and works on projects for customers from the UK, Ireland, Germany and the USA. According to the company's own estimates, Craiova's IT labour market is quite mature and has over 1,300 specialists.

"We are focusing on the opening of several Softelligence divisions to serve the growing needs of the company. In the coming years, Softelligence Engineering will manage the development and deployment of large-scale software projects, especially for international clients, from design and software architecture to launch in production and post-implementation services," managing partner and co-founder, Teodor Blidarus, said.

Softellingence posted a turnover of 3.5 million euro ($3.81 million) in 2016, up by 70% compared to the previous year. The jump in turnover was generated by a doubling of the number of business intelligence and analytics projects, as well as by the development of the FinTech OS platform, both locally and internationally.

In the next three years, the company aims to reach a 20 million euro turnover and double its headcount, Blidarus said at the beginning of 2017.

The company was founded din 2006 by Romanian entrepreneurs Adrian and Teodor Blidarus and currently employs 150 in its Bucharest and Craiova offices. Its most important customers include companies such as BCR, Allianz, NN, ING Bank, Honeywell and BAT.
