Ambassador Gerhard Reiweger voiced support for the promotion of Oradea city in Austria

On a visit to the Oradea City Hall on Monday, Austria's ambassador to Romania Gerhard Reiweger voiced support for the promotion of the city in Austria, as well as for the exchanges of good practices and holding Austrian events in Oradea. 

The City Hall says in a press statement that Reiweger was welcomed by Oradea City MayorIlie Bolojan in a meeting without the media in attendance. 

Talks focused on cooperation with Austrian cities to exchange good practices; Oradea hosting cultural events to be staged by Austrians this autumn and next year with support from the Austrian Embassy, as well as on the Oradea City Hall continuing cooperation with the economic department of the Austrian Embassy. 

Another important topic regarded support from Austrian museums in the form of furniture for the Oradea Bastion that reflects the former Austrian ruling of the city. 

The ambassador is quoted as voicing support for the Oradea City Hall's intention to open next year a Museum of Jews, also giving assurances for the tourist promotion of the city in Austria.
