Another 5 states on the list of green area – Finland, Italy, Estonia, Ireland and the European territory of France

Another five states – Italy, Finland, Estonia, Ireland and the European territory of France (metropolitan France) – were added on the list of countries exempted from the self-isolation measures ( the green zone).

The National Committee for Emergency Situations gathered on Monday by premier Ludovic Orban adopted the Decision no.31 through which the list of states exempted from the self-isolation ( the green area) was updated.

The exception is applied to people who have no symptoms arriving in Romania from the states on the list, says the Group for Strategic Communication.

The decision was taken ‘ taking into consideration the analysis made by the National Institute for Public Health regarding the evolution of infections SARS –Cov-2 in the EU states and the Economic European Space (…) taking into consideration the favourable evolution registered in some states, by the application of the criterion of maximum 5 new cases confirmed/ one million inhabitants, calculated as average of the values registered over the last 14 days’.

Thus, starting with 23 June 2020,  exempted from the measure of self-isolation are the people who arrive in Romania from Finland, Italy, Estonia, Ireland and the European territory of France (metropolitan France).

Flights to and from the countries being the object of the exception from isolation can be resumed on all airports of Romania, the decision says.

‘On the basis of the agreement at the level of the European Union regarding the opening of the domestic borders, the list regarding the countries exempted from the measure of self-isolation includes only EU member states and of the Economic European Area. The third countries exempted from the measure of self-isolation will be established after the moment of establishing the criteria applicable at European level, on the basis of which this exception is made’ the decision says.
