Brasov, Romanian city with best living conditions. Bucharest ranks 9th in top
Brasov was appointed the urban centre with the most advantageous cost of living in Romania, according to a study made by Storia.ro real estate platform and D&D Research agency. The study analysed the Romanians’ perception on the cost of living in the town where they live, reported to the incomes they get.
The top continues with Cluj Napoca, Oradea, Sibiu, Pitesti, Timisoara, Targu Mures, Craiova, Bucharest and Iasi. At the opposite pole we find Resita, Alexandria, Vaslui, Focsani, Piatra Neamt, Satu Mare, Tulcea, Calarasi, Botosani and Braila.
At the level of historic regions, Transylvania is considered the area with the most advantageous living standard, followed by Bucharest and Ilfov, Oltenia and Banat, while Moldova, Dobrogea and Muntenia got the lowest score.
Participants in the study were invited to evaluate the towns where they live in point of living costs, on a scale from 1 to 5, where 1 is very bad and 5 very good. Final classification included only towns with at least 100 answers.
Bucharest was evaluated by locals as ranking 9th out of 10 most advantageous towns. Over 15,000 people living in Bucharest appointing Titan as the most advantageous residential area, followed by Salajan, Balta Alba, Brancoveanu and Baba Novac. They are followed by Aviatiei, Tineretului, Baneasa and Drumul Taberei. 1 Mai, Vitan, Obor, Ferentari and Lujerului are at the end of the Classification.
