Economy Ministry: Necessary natural gas sources, secured for coming days

The natural gas sources are secured for the coming days so that the consumers supply is carried out without syncopes, shows a release of the Economy, Trade and Business Environment Ministry (MECMA) remitted to Agerpres on Wednesday.

According to the cited source, the natural gas supply on Wednesday was carried out without any special problems nationwide and the pressures in the National Transport System registered normal values.

On January 31, the natural gas consumption nationwide reached the maximum of the past interval because of low temperatures, amounting to 71.5 cubic metres.

Following the measures taken by the Coordination Committee for ensuring the safety in the natural gas supply established within MECMA, all the necessary amounts were secured, so that all consumers were appropriately supplied. The amounts came from the following sources: domestic production - 31 million cubic metres, extraction from deposits - 23 cubic metres, imports - 17.5 million cubic metres.

According to MECMA, the domestic production and the extraction from deposits stand at the maximum allowed values from the technical point of view, so the consumption supplementing is made from imports.
