Eurostat:Romania, leader in EU in terms of increase in hourly labour costs in Q1
Romania ranked first in the EU in terms of increase in hourly labour costs in Q3 2013, by 8.6% respectively, compared to the same period in 2012, according to the data released on Monday by the European Statistical Office (Eurostat).
Thus, from January throughout March 2013, the highest increases in the hourly labour costs in the EU were recorded in Romania (8.6%) and Estonia (7.5%).
The hourly labour costs in the EU advanced in industry by 3.4%, in construction and services by 1.7% and in the non-business sector by 1.4% in Q1 2013 from the same period of 2012.
