Exercise "Resolute Castle 17" will be conducted in Romania, 14 April - 30 September
The international participation exercise titled "Resolute Castle 17" will be conducted in Romania in the period 14 April - 30 September, the Romanian servicemen going to be trained in this interval alongside the US and British servicemen, the National Defence Ministry (MApN) informs.
According to a press release sent on Wednesday, the opening ceremony will take place on 14 April, at the Land Forces Combat Training Centre "Getica" in Cincu, Brasov county.
The 10th "Dunarea de Jos" Engineer Brigade participates in the exercise on behalf of the Romanian Land Force, supported with personnel and military technique from the engineering structures belonging to the 2nd and 4th Infantry Divisions and the 1st "Argedava" Mechanized Brigade.
British servicemen, as well as US servicemen representing structures of the US Army Europe, US Army Reserve Command, Army National Guard and US Navy will train alongside representatives of Romania's Army.
"The exercise, conducted for the third year in a row, aims at increasing the level of servicemen's training and capabilities to respond to a possible crisis situation, developing inter-operability between engineering structures of Romanian, US and British land forces, as well as improving the infrastructure of the training center. The projects that are conducted within the "Resolute Castle 17 are comprised in the European Reassurance Initiative (ERI) Programme," the quoted source mentions.
