In August, the central bank saw inflows of 654 million euros from changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements for the credit institutions, inflows into the Ministry of Public Finances' accounts, inflows into the European Commission's account, etc., and outflows of 465 million euros owed to changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements for the credit institutions, interest and principal payments on foreign currency public debt, etc.

BNR's gold stock remained unchanged at 103.7 tonnes; following the change in the international price of gold, however, its value amounted to 3.328 billion euros.

Payments due in September on public and publicly guaranteed foreign currency-denominated debt amount to approximately 349 million euros.
