ForMin Aurescu, in official visit to Oslo

The Foreign Affairs minister, Bogdan Aurescu will pay on Monday an official visit to Oslo at the invitation of his Norwegian counterpart, Borge Brende, a Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) release informs on Sunday. 

Minister Aurescu will hold consultations with his Norwegian counterpart and a meeting with the president of the Storting (Norway's Parliament), Olemic Thommessen. 

Bogdan Aurescu and Borge Brende are going to sign 'The Convention between Romania and the Kingdom of Norway on the double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion regarding the income taxes,' says the source. 

'The visit to Oslo is targeting the deepening of the bilateral dialogue, already in a very good stage, in accordance with the statutes of Romania and the Kingdom of Norway as NATO Allies and partners within the European Economic Space (EES). Ways of consolidation of the Romanian-Norwegian cooperation by using on behalf of Romania the funds allocated through the EES financial Mechanism and the Norwegian financial Mechanism, will be tackled,' says the MAE release. 

During talks, approached will be a series of priority topics of the bilateral, European and of security, with an accent on the evolutions of the Eastern Neighbourhood, on the support of the reform efforts and the European path of the Eastern Partnership states, the preparation of the Riga Summit Eastern Partnership, in May, the cooperation within the North-Atlantic Alliance. Talks will also focus on topics of the current international agenda, such as the situation in Syria, the Peace Process in the Middle East, the international community's efforts to fighting terrorism globally. 

The Oslo visit's schedule of the Romanian Foreign Affairs minister will also include a meeting with the representatives of the local branches of the Romanian Students' League from Abroad and of the CAESAR Foundation.
