Half of the Romanians consider they do not have a healthy life style and they want to change this (survey)

Half of the Romanians consider they do not have a healthy life style and want to change it,shows an online survey where there  were 3,075 interviewees, developed in the first part of the national information campaign ‘ Everything about health insurance’.

Asked what they would like to change, firstly, in their life style to make it healthier, 41% mentioned diet while 32% stated that they would like more time for themselves and for relaxation and 19% would like to do more sport. Only 2% stated they wouldn’t like a healthier life style, according to a press release.

In the same survey, only 12% of the interviewees stated that they include a programme of daily sporting activities ( gym, jogging, cycling, swimming, etc), 10% less than one time per week, while 8% do that one or two times a week, 61% stated that they do not do any kind of these activities.

89% of the participants to the survey stated that they do not take into consideration the calories they consume daily. On the other hand, out  of those who do that, 58% want to know how many calories they consume because they monitor their weight as they want to lose weight, 10% because they want to increase the muscular mass, 6% because they want to gain weight.

One out of four Romanians (24%) do not include fruit in the daily diet, 58% state they eat 1-2 fruit per day, 18% three pieces of fruit or more.

Similarly, 1 out of 2 Romanians (49%) do not include raw vegetables in the daily diet, 42% consume one of two types of vegetables per day and 10% -  more than three types of vegetables per day.

Two out of three Romanians (59%) state they read the labels on the products  they buy. Moreover, 44% of them stated they give up a product only because of some ingredients or other type of information on the label, while 40% do this occasionally, and 14% rarely.

The survey took place online, between 20 November and 11 December 2019, with 3,075 people out of whom 61% women, 39% men, 45% aged between 35 and 55, 32% over 55 years old, 13% between 26 and 34 years old.

‘Everything about health insurance’ is a national campaign for information dedicated to the health insurance, as well as to a healthy life style, launched by aPPA – the Association for the Promotion of Insurance. The first stage of the project took place between 18 and 30th November 2019, and the second campaign takes place between 15 and 31st January 2020.



More
