Health Ministry will give a special attention to a strategy for the workforce in the field
The Health Ministry will give a special attention to data collection, to fathering a strategy for the workforce in the field and to creating policies based on evidence, and not on momentary interests, on Friday said the Health Minister, Vlad Voiculescu in a release.
He adds that currently, from the data centralization point of view, there is no official unitary statistics on the number of physicians practicing in Romania.
And this is the reason why crisis moments occur, when hospitals, for example, are short of funds, the minister says.
"The elaboration of some cost standards on real grounds is a far long delayed absolutely necessary strategic priority. The same principle is also valid for the engineering of some health care policies which, in the current sanitary system's architecture, are not grounded on clear evidence to justify their need and broadness," says the minister.
