HealthMin Tataru: We consider opening open bars on 1 June, beaches on 15 June if this stage goes well
Health Minister Nelu Tataru said in Iasi on Friday that Romanians can contemplate going on vacations in the current stage of the COVID-19 epidemic, however the relaxations should be made in stages, adding that authorities are considering, if the current stage goes well, the possibility of opening open bars as of 1 June and beaches as of 15 June.
"We can contemplate going on vacation, but we should relax in stages. If we consider, in the conditions in which this stage goes well, to open the open bars from 1 June and to open beaches from 15 June, when the summer season usually starts, we cam say that we got over this well and we can think of a vacation. The rest, all that means foreign holidays, we consider them only in the context in which each of the partner countries or in the European Union open in line with us, but also with the development of the pandemic in each country," Tataru said.
He stated that despite the relaxation measures, the population shouldn't give up social distancing and wearing face masks.
The Health Minister paid a visit in Iasi on Friday, where he met with hospitals' manager doctors, with whom he discussed about the developments of the coronavirus cases.
