Most new COVID-19 cases in Romania reported by Bucharest, (2,515), counties of Ilfov (612), Cluj (554)
Most of the newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in Romania since the previous reporting were recorded in Bucharest City - 2,515 and the counties of Ilfov - 612, Cluj - 554, Timis- 507, Prahova - 481, and Constanta - 463, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official novel coronavirus communication task force, reported on Tuesday.
The fewest new cases were recorded in the counties of Covasna - 34, Satu Mare - 79, and Harghita - 82.
Ilfov County ranks first in terms of the 14-day cumulative reporting rate, with 10.68 cases per 1,000 population, followed by the counties of Timis - 8.70, Cluj - 6.29, and Dolj - 6.24.
Along with these, there are 31 other counties in the red zone (more than three cases per 1,000 population).
In the yellow zone there are five counties, and in the green zone - two counties - Covasna and Harghita.
În this context, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) has announced on Tuesday that both nationally and in Bucharest there are no more ICU beds available for patients with COVID-19, other than those reserved especially for people with certain medical conditions that are confirmed with SARS-COV-2.
GCS shows that, according to data in the alerte.ms app, on Monday, nationwide, there are 1,453 ICU beds for COVID-19 patients. In Bucharest, 313 ICU beds for COVID-19 patients are approved by the Public Health Directorate (DSP).
Also, at national level there is an operational reserve of 130 ICU beds for COVID-19 patients, of which 55 are in Bucharest. These beds are activated, operational, wherever the number of ICU patients exceeds the capacity of the main wards.
Currently, 1,480 ICU beds are occupied throughout the country.
