President Iohannis promulgated the law which forbids the MPs to lead commercial activities
President Klaus Iohannis promulgated on Thursday the law which establishes that the MPs cannot have leading positions in companies which organise commercial activities.
Deputies and senators are incompatible with having chairman, vice-chairman, manager, administrator, Board member or censor positions to companies regulated by law 31/1990 which undergo ‘ effectively’ commercial activities, according to the law.
‘The position of deputy and senator is incompatible with the following positions: chairman, vice-chairman, general manager, manager, administrator, member of the board or censor in a company regulated by law no.31/1990 which undergoes systematically and effectively commercial activities, including banks or other credit institutions, insurance companies and financial ones and public institutions’ according to the draft law for the amendment of art.82 (1) of law no.161/2003 regarding some measures for the insurance of transparency in the functioning of public positions and in the business environment and the sanctioning of corruption.
