Romania National Bank cuts key rate to 5.5 pct

The National Bank of Romania's (BNR) Board of Directors at a meeting on Thursday decided to cut the key interest rate 0.25 percent to 5.50 percent from 5.75 percent starting Feb. 3, 2012, the BNR announced in a release.
