Romania has lowest number of cultural employees in EU
Romania records the lowest number of employees in cultural fields in EU, with a share of 1.2%, Luxembourg being at the opposite pole with a share of 4.4%, according to the Eurostat report released in Wednesday.
Over 2011-2015m the number of employees in cultural fields grew constantly, with 410,000 more jobs (+7%) in EU.
In 2015, about 6.5 million people were employed in the cultural sector in EU. The sector represented about 3% of the overall number of employees.
About 2 millions of employees were artists and writers, 49% of whom worked as freelancers.
