Social democrats gather at National Executive Committee. Liviu Dragnea contested from interior

The social democrats (PSD) will meet in a session of PSD National Executive Committee (CExN), the focus of discussions being a joint declaration launched in the public space. PSD leaders signed an open letter in which they ask for Liviu Dragnea’s “immediate resignation” from the positions of PSD and Chamber of deputies president. Premier Viorica Dancila who is also PSD executive president will fill in as party president.

The document is signed by PSD vicepresident Paul Stanescu, deputy prime minister and minister of Regional Development and Public Administration, by Gabriela Firea, PSD vicepresident and general mayor of Bucharest and by Adrian Tutuianu, PSD and Senate vicepresident.

In their opinion, the causes which led to the present situation include internal conflicts and the “permanent war PSD is in.”
