Vice premier Sorin Grindeanu, received  by the president of Turkey

Vice premier Sorin Grindeanu, on a visit to Turkey, was received by the president of the country, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with whom he discussed about the Strategic Partnership between the two countries and told him that Romania wants to get to top 10 import markets of Turkey.

 

Sorin Grindeanu announced on Thursday night, on his Facebook page, that he discussed with   president Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the mediation the country offers in resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

 

 ‘I have discussed today with the president of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, about the priorities of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and Turkey.

 

I have appreciated both the mediation that Turkey offers, as a NATO member state in the resolving of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, as well as the intention of  Turkey to act as a country guarantee for the security of Ukraine’ Grindeanu said.

The discussions between the two focused on economic matters.

 

 ‘As regards the economic domain, as vice premier and minister of transports I confirmed that our activity and projects we develop at the level of the Romanian government are destined to offer a beneficial economic climate to business and to foreign investments. Moreover, from a commercial point of view, the government in Bucharest has as an ambitious target on medium term: Romania should advance from position 17 in top 10 import markets of Turkey’ Grindeanu wrote.
