Romania imported 2.307 million toe of crude oil în Q1 of 2017

In Q1 2017 Romania imported 2.307 million toe of crude oil, by 115.400 toe (4.8 pct) lower than Q1 2016, according to data centralized by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

The crude oil production totaled 1,141 million toe, by 5 pct (60,100 toe) lower than in January-April 2016.

According to the Energy Strategy project, published on the website of the Ministry of Energy, it is estimated that the crude oil production will continue its slow downward trend between 2030 and 2050, from 22 to 13 TWh (1.93 to 1.15 million toe).

In the ambitious decarbonisation scenario combined with low oil prices, the crude oil production will come across a turning point in 2035, followed by a steep decline to zero.
