BNR: Household deposits advance 3 pct in December 2011

RON-denominated household deposits advanced 3.0 percent to RON 72,101.8 million (nearly 16.7 billion euros) in December 2011, on a monthly basis. The increase compared with December 2010 was 12.1 percent in nominal terms, 8.7 percent in real terms, the National Bank of Romania (BNR) reported on Wednesday.Forex-denominated deposits of resident households and corporations (non-financial corporations and non-monetary financial institutions) increased by 1.3 percent, to RON 62,757.8 ...
