Biso Romania wants to invest 2 million euro for the construction of silos


Biso Romania, the branch of the famous Austrian producer of agricultural equipment Biso Schrattenecker wants to invest next year 2 million euro for the construction of silos, by introducint a system of financing of the acquisition of equipment for farmers in exchange of cereal quantities.


‘Over the last three years we invested 8,5 million euro in the competence centre in Drajna. In this centre we have a showroom, service, parts shop, training hall and other facilities for the farmers. For next year we want to invest almost two million eurofor the construction of agricultural silos big enough, investment which will be financed through FEADR (The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development).We wait for the approval of the Fund’ Razvan Petcu, the representative of Biso Romania said at the conference Mediafax Talks about agriculture.


Thus Biso wants to get on the market of cereals trade, the silos being used for cereals which the company receives from the farmers who want to buy equipment from the company.It is a system of financing the equipment. Fo equipment we will receive cereals, instead of money, and the cereals will be sold. Thus we will become cereals trader’ Petrcu said. In Drajna the company puts together agricultural equipment which they sell on the local market, representing 15% of the total business of the Austrian producer of equipment in the agricultural domain.


The Biso products are made in the factories owned in Austria and Slovakia.


Biso competes in Romania in the sector of equipment for agriculture with players such as Maschio Gaspardo or Mecanica Ceahlau and in the segment of tractors trade with such importers as IPSO (John Deere), NHR Agropartners ( New Holland) or Titan Machinery (CNH).
