BMW TechWorks Romania joins a global network of IT centers that already includes locations in Germany, South Africa, the USA, Portugal and China,” says Ralf Waltram, Vice President of the BMW Group.

Current Projects in Cluj

  • Connected Procurement: Complex supply chains and control systems require integrated IT systems.

  • Digital Shopfloor: Modern production IT as a core element of BMW iFactory, BMW Group’s intelligent production program.

  • Direct Sales Model: Development of central IT components for the implementation of BMW and MINI’s direct sales model in Europe.

The focus is on developing and implementing IT solutions for the European region.

The goal is to achieve a turnover in the tens of millions of euros by the end of the year, according to the company.

The center will develop IT projects and solutions for BMW to be used in production, development, human resources, sales, and financial services.
