Fallacher (Orange CEO): Romania among top spots in leading edge technologies

Romania is listed among the top spots in leading edge technologies, and the Romanian telecommunications market continues to be very dynamic and very competitive, Orange Romania CEO Jean-Francois Fallacher said in an interview with AGERPRES on Friday.

'Providing a 3G+ network covering the entire country and a 4G network in over 1,000 localities, an increasing use of mobile Internet, a portfolio rich in mobile devices and surprising services, the Romanian telecommunications market continues to be very dynamic and very competitive. According to the latest Net Index study, Romania ranks third worldwide by Internet service speed, after South Korea and Japan. At the same time, the Romanian consumers benefit from these high-speed Internet services at very low prices. In addition, Romania is among the top spots as regards leading edge technologies. With the new 4G+ generation, Orange Romania made Romania rank second in Southeast Europe and ninth worldwide,' Fallacher said in the interview.

According to the Orange Romania CEO, the company's objective is to provide its clients with converged services. In a highly competitive and dynamic market, Orange is the leader in terms of innovation: HD international voice services, 4G+, Orange Passpoint and Orange TV GO, he said.

'We are very proud that Orange Romania was officially named Top Employer in 2014, an employer that implements the best practices in human resources policies and programmes. (...) the human resources policies include many benefits for our employees. Besides the salary and training courses that we offer for the development of their careers, we also take care of their health and provide them constantly with competitive packages from health care providers. Also, we offer subscriptions to gyms at discounted prices, or mobile phones at lower prices to enable them to have access to the latest products and technologies. In addition, since 2012, along with expert trainers, we offer them the chance to attend an experimental programme of personal personal development on topics such as parenting, healthy living, nutrition and even cooking classes,' Jean-Francois Fallacher said.
