Government strategy: the number of SMEs should increase until 2020 by approximately 200,000 companies

 The governmental strategy for the development of the SMEs sector until 2020 includes the growth of the number of active entreprises from 474,000 – the number which was recorded at the end of last year, - to 670,000 companies, with growth of the number of employees from 2.6 million to 3.2 million.

The minister delegated for SMEs, Business Environment and Tourism, Florin Jianu announced that the government adopted on Tuesday the Governmental Strategy for the development of the sector of SMEs until 2020.According to this, one of the targets of the strategy is that SMEs active per one thousand inhabitants increase from 24 to 37 companies.

Jianu showed that, for this purpose, the Strategy includes 34 actions, and one of these is the initiation of a national programme Start-up Romania, an initiative of approximately 150 million of euro for the support of different categories of young people and social categories for the starting of business start-up type.

The minister for SMEs showed that, in the next government meeting will present a document regarding the initiative of the loans mediator who will able to support the companies with rapid access to funding.
