Orange Romania incomes on the rise in first semester

In the first half of the year Orange Romania had incomes of 450 million euro, a value close to that of 2012, on the background of the rising number of company customers by 154,000, to 10.2 million and the reduction of interconnection fees.

 

Orange Romania incomes went down by 0.6% from 452 million euro in the first semester of 2012 to 449 million euro, but then went up by 0.2% in the second quarter to 230 million euro, according to a press release.If we exclude the effect of interconnection fees, incomes grew by 3.8% in the second quarter, Orange informs.

 

The company had 10.2 million clients at the end of June, compared to 20.283 million at the end of 2012, according to the financial report presented by the French group Orange on Thursday.

“There has been a migration tendency of users from pre-paid cards to subscriptions. In the last 12 months the number of subscribers grew by 6%”, the report shows.

 

The mobile Internet traffic registered by Orange went up by 90% compared to a similar period of 2012, at the same time with the sale increase for smart phones, the development of applications and services offered.

 

Orange Romania launched, at the end of 2012, 4G high speed data services for tablets and modems, also available for smart phones in April.

 

At the same time the operator entered the market of television services in June by means of Orange TV, with an offer of 100 channels of which 40 HD channels.
