The Competitiveness  Council won definitely in the court the trial with Parmalat Romania

The High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) confirmed definitely the breach of law of competence by Parmalat Romania, shows a press release of the Competitiveness  Council.
The Competitiveness Council showed that Parmalat took part in an anti-competition agreement with the purpose of fixing prices between retailers and their suppliers.
At the same time, the High Court mentioned the fine applied to the company worth 269,852 lei (61,330 euro).

In 2015,the Competitiveness Council sanctioned 25 companies on the market of food products trading (four retailers, 21 suppliers) with fines worth 154,538 lei (approximately 35 million euro) for fixing prices between retailers Metro, Real, Selgros, Mega Image and their suppliers between 2005 – 2009.
Argus, Delaco Distribution and Granddis admitted to the deed and did not attack the decision of the Competitiveness Council in the court, while the rest of the companies contested the decision.

At the same time, in the case of the companies Albalact and Prodlacta, ICCJ confirmed definitely the breach of the law of competitiveness.

The instance mentioned the value of the fine for Prodlacta but for Albalact the fine was reduced from 2,199,507 lei to 1,777,380 lei.
