VTEX will invest 10 million euro, over the next two years in the region, and will hire thirty people in Romania

VTEX, a completely integrated solution for commerce, marketplace and Order Management System (OMS) announced on Monday that they will invest 10 million euro, over the next two years in the development of the region coordinated from Romania, out of which three million euro for this year, and the present team of fifteen at present will be extended to 45 at the end of  the year.

 

The investments will cover the development of the hub of Romania which aims both at the local market and Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Greece. VTEX intends to increase the team from fifteen employees at the present moment, to 45 at the end of the year, to increase  partnerships with  implementation agencies and to support their clients in various strategic projects.

 

 ‘We implement in Romania and in the region the most complex and complete platform for online commerce, in a period when many business owners see that ecommerce is ‘ the way to  go’ and online markets are part of their immediate plans. On medium term, we intend that VTEX become leader on the market in Romania and an important player in the region, the first brand you think of when you want to develop a solid business or to take an efficient and rapid step to online’ says Cristi Movila, growth leader, Eastern Europe with VTEX.

At present, VTEX has twenty-two clients in the region coordinated from Romania. In 2021, the company estimates a total portfolio of over fifty clients in the region.

 ‘The pandemics have radically changed the perspective and the expectations of the market and all players in the commerce understood who important it is to be online. Many joined, in 2020, for the first time this area, together with VTEX managing to get rapid implementations on the VTEX platform, a solution for the future of commerce, which is about collaboration, the use of marketplace advantages and experience offered to the clients’ says Cristi Movila.

 

Recently, VTEX  managed the complete online migration, in four months, of the group of fashion franchise Peeraj, a business with an extended  portfolio of  brands, such as Emporio Armani, Sketchers, Swarovski, Boggi or OVS Kids and physical presence in the whole country.

 

Starting from scratch, the new online shop was launched in October 2020 and after the first month of operation on the VTEX platform, it registered a growth of revenue of 50% as compared to the average of the last six months.
