Michele Ramis, the French ambassador to Bucharest, declared in Sibiu, on Thursday, that French investors are more and more interested in coming to Romania, but the lack of highways was an important drawback, which she hopes we can solve with the help of European money.

“It is true that France is more and more interested in investing in Romania because Romania has advantages for the French investors who come here. There is an industrial tradition in Romania. From the geographical point of view, Romania has a good location . French enterprises are looking for trained labour force, engineers. Entrepreneurs are looking for French speaking, trained workers to work in their enterprises. Speaking French also helps in being hired here, by French enterprises, or to work abroad in French or French speaking enterprises”, ambassador Ramis said.

According to her, the lack of highways in Romania, “is a difficult problem, an important drawback.”

“However you are still attractive. We hope European funds will be used to improve infrastructure,” Michel Ramis said during her visit to Sibiu.
