Arad: British ambassador meets representatives of local authorities and businessmen

H.E. Esther Blythe, the British ambassador to Bucharest made a visit to Arad county on Wednesday and met the government representative Cosmin Pribac at the Prefect Office. The two officials talked about economic and cultural aspects, accent being laid on economic opportunities offered by Arad county to foreign investors.

 

“I was honored to thank the ambassador for the investment made with the help of the British Association Europe for Europe, at the Radiology ward of the Town Hospital in Sebis. We talked about the economic specific of the area, the real business opportunities fir foreign investors, the British ones included. I hope that collaboration models with positive results like the one from Sebis will increase in number in the future. The Prefect Institution of Arad County will offer its full support in this respect,” said prefect Pribac at the end of the meeting.

 

The British diplomat also had a meeting at the Arad County Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (CCIA), with the general manager of the institution, Adrian Negrau for further collaboration between the two parties.They pointed out the need to set up closer links between British investors and Arad businessmen represented by CCIA Arad.

 

Esther Blythe was interested in companies with British participation and the new investment opportunities in the area. One of the topics approached was that of Arad Airport, administered by Arad County Council. The chairman of the Council requested the British ambassador’s support for the airport for the recommendation of companies meant to operate flights at Arad Airport. H.E. Esther Blythe promised her full support.
