Two Bach recitals by Melinda Beres, Baroque violin, and Raluca Enea, harpsichord, will be staged on Saturday and Sunday at 12:00hrs, EEST, at Brancoveanu Palace of Mogosoaia.

Organiser Pro Valores Culture and Sports Association reports in a press release on Monday that the event, which is held in partnership with the Balassi Magyar Institute of Bucharest, is part of the Mogosoaia ClasicFest festival of classical music offered by the Bucharest Mayoralty via the Brancoveanu Palace Culture Centre, the Pro Valores Association and the Radio Romania Culture station.

"This time, the Mogosoaia ClasicFest festival will offer you the opportunity of listening to original performance of the Complete Sonatas for Violin and Obbligato Harpsichord by Johann Sebastian Bach that celebrates the 330th birth anniversary of this genius master of sound arts," the organiser says.

Violinist Melinda Beres has so far staged recitals in Romania and abroad, including Germany, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden, France, Russia and Belgium, having won many national and international performing competitions. She is currently a lecturer at the Gh. Dima Music Academy of Cluj-Napoca.

Raluca Enea is a harpsichordist who took master's classes in Germany, having given recitals in Romania and abroad, in countries such as Norway, Germany, France and Hungary. She is also arts director of the Bucharest Classical Music Festival and a doctoral student of the National Music University of Bucharest.
