Business people from China pay visit to Oltchim platform

A delegation of the People's Republic of China representing several companies - Baota Petrochemical Group, Hengchao Sun and Junlun Petroleum Co., Ltd , Changqing Xie - visited on Thursday the chemical plant Oltchim and Bradu petrochemical platform in Pitesti, which is an asset of Valcea-based company.

The Chinese guests were informed by the judiciary administrators and the plant management about the current state of this company, turnover, and production capacity.

Sources from the plant said that the Chinese would want to conclude on Friday a document in Bucharest with the findings of this visit, following that, on the occasion of the November visit of the Chinese Premier, Li Keqiang, participation of these companies in the privatization process of the plant to be discussed.

Earlier this week, Economy Minister Andrei Gerea appreciated, during the meeting with this delegation, the interest of Chinese investors, convinced that the traditional relations between the two countries can provide a solid foundation for future collaboration.

' For Oltchim we are looking for serious partners, capable to manage this industrial colossus that can generate a turnover of one billion euros annually. That is why the meetings and talks with strong investors in this field are very important', Andrei Gerea said.

Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea is the biggest economic agent in Valcea County ( south of the country ), under insolvency procedures starting with January 2013 and in ongoing privatization process.
