Castle of the Huniads, in Ghost Adventure series, broadcast by Travel Channel

The Castle of Huniads in Hunedoara (western Romania) is the main topic of the Ghost Adventure series broadcast by the Travel Channel that airs episodes on the itinerary of Vlad the Impeller the ruler of Wallachia (1443-1476), also trying to get some real evidence of the paranormal in the halls of the Castle of Huniads, a historic monument of the 14th century.

The first shooting began on Tuesday July 16, and the film producers are to stay at the Castle till Thursday July 18. The episode to be shot in the Castle in Hunedoara will be on air on Halloween, 2013.

Likewise, by latest technology, the four anchors will investigate whether any trace of paranormal activity happens at the Castle of the Huniads, in a dark summer night,' the Castle of Huniads Museum director Flavius Tudor said on Tuesday.

During the three days, they will shoot reconstitutions of the legends of the Castle, such as the legend of the balustrade, the Chapel's Choir, the legend of the secret nook nearby the Capistrano Tower, the legend of the well, the legend of the flap door in the Knights Hall, and the legend of the raven.

The film will show famous the Middle Age characters like Vlad the Impeller, Elisabeta Szilagy, Matei Corvin or Iancu of Hunedoara, currently attracting ever more holiday makers willing to discover the lifestyle and the way of thinking a couple of centuries before.

'As it deals with one of the best and the most watched Travel Channel broadcast, both the local authorities and the Romanian film makers are confident that the project's promotion means an ever higher number of tourists who will come and visit the Castle, in the future,' Museum director said.

According to him the Travel Channel team will stay in Hunedoara till July 21 and is shooting two episodes following the road Vlad the Impeller traveling along during the Romanian Middle Age history.

The filming team's agenda schedules the city of Sighisoara, the birth place of Valad the Impeller, the Princely Court of Targoviste (Wallachia's prince residence), the City of Poenari the place where Vlad the Impeller took refuge, the Monastery of Comana, founded by Vlad the Impeller and the place where he is said he had been buried, and the Castle of the Huniads in Hunedoara, where Vlad the Impeller was held in custody for a month or for seven years, according to the some historical notes.

The Ghost Adventures generally presents documentary films showing locations imbued of history and mystic meanings, worldwide, Discovery Channel viewers are very keen on,Tudor explains.
