Cenk Demir Group plans to invest in Romania's green energy

Cenk Demir Turkish Group is interested in Romania's renewable energy market and announces important investments in the local clean energy.

The Group allocated 30 million euros to the first stage of the project, which is expected to put out 100MW.

'Dobrogea is an attractive area for such business and therefore it is here that we plan to start our project. The feasibility studies will be carried out in 2012, and massive investments are due over 2013-2014, Group's CEO Cenk Kucuk told the Capital magazine.

Kucuk said he backs up the investments in both the sun and the wind power, opining that the clean energy is the economic field to generate revenues in the long run.

'At the moment, we are not working with either private or state-run Romanian partner companies, but we do not exclude the possibility, in the future. Eighty percent of the manpower to work in the project is Romanian,' Cenk Kucuk said.

According to him investments in last generation greenhouses will be also part in the business.
