Code Yellow warning of sizzling temperatures issued for Romania's West, North-West, South-West on Tuesday, Wednesday

The Romanian National Forecaster on Monday issued a Code Yellow warning of high temperatures and thermal discomfort for seven counties in Romania's West, North-West and South-West on Tuesday and Wednesday.

There will be sizzling temperatures in most of Romania on Aug. 6-7, the Forecaster warned.

A heat wave will hit the western areas, with temperatures moving as high as 35 to 38 degrees Celsius and the persons' thermal discomfort will be pronounced, while the temperature-to-humidity index will pass the 80-unit mark.

The heat wave will hit the counties of Satu Mare, Bihor, Arad, Timisoara, Caras-Severin, Mehedinti and Dolj.

The scorching heat will linger till the end of the week, with the Forecaster to update the warning on Wednesday.
