Custodian of the Romanian Crown Margareta sent a letter to Emperor Naruhito on the occasion of his succession to the Throne of Japan

The Custodian of the Romanian Crown Margareta sent on Wednesday to the Japane sovereign Emperor Naruhito a letter on the occasion of his succession to the Throne of Japan whom she sent ‘ with admiration and excitement sincere congratulations and health wishes, happiness and peace’.

Her Majesty Margareta met Emperor Naruhito three times over the last fifteen years on the occasion of Royal celebrations in Madrid, Luxembourg and Stockholm, the press release says.

Diplomatic relations of Romania with Japan were established in 1917 during the rule of King Ferdinand and Emperor Yoshihito.The Romanian royal family visited Japan in 2003, the press release shows. The new emperor of Japan Naruhito aged 59 ascended  the Chrysanthemum Throne after his father Akihito abdicated to whom he brought homage for the peaceful heritage and closeness to the people and promised to continue the tradition in his first speech as sovereign, inform the international news agencies.
