EconMin:  the law of the mines, the law of mineral waters and  royalties will be placed under public consultation until 1 September

The ministry of economy Mihai Fifor stated on Sunday in Abrud, Alba county that the law of the mines, mineral waters and royalties are under preparation so that until 1 September they will be under public consultation.

The ministry of economy visited on Sunday the company Cupru Min which explores the ore in Rosia Poieni where there are 60% of the copper reserves of Romania and at the end of the visit  he stated in a press conference that the law of the mines, mineral waters and royalties could be under public consultation until 1 September.

The minister reminded that last Thursday in the government meeting  the national geological programme was promoted so that together with the laws to be put under public consultation the ministry of economy will have a legislative package in September, at the beginning of the parliamentary session.

Asked if the royalties will be increased at national level, Mihai Fifor said that he tried not to do this.

‘This is a technical discussion. We are trying not to increase the royalties. We are discussing about a fiscal package as the governing programme as it was formulated if you want to have a list of all royalties  at present’ Fifor said.

Mihai Fifor came on Sunday in Abrud on the occasion of the  Day of the miner to celebrate the 40 years of activity of Cupru Min, company subordinated to the ministry of economy.
