eJobs analysis: Driver, accountant and economist, most jobs in demand in 2019
Most jobs in demand in 2019 were those of driver, accountant and economist, according to an analysis made by eJobs.ro.
About 4 million searches were recorded for the job of driver in 2019, while accountants and economists gathered about 3 million searches.
Fourth in the top is the position of engineer with over 1.2 million searches.
Bogdan Badea, eJobs CEO pointed out that searches for part time jobs also increased.
“One of the surprises of 2019 was the interest in part time jobs. Either if we consider young students who want to work 4 or 6 hours a day, allowing them to continue studies or by specialists who want to combine a stable job with freelancing activities, 2019 came with rising interest in those jobs – we had 1.6 million searches for part time jobs,” Bogdan Badea said.
The position of assisting manager recorded over 1 million searches, that of manager over 950,000 searches, while that of medical assistant recorded over 750,000 searches. Jobs for specialists in as well as those for call center operators (700,000).
The eJobs CEO also showed that the number of searches for jobs requiring people who speak English was dropping.
“Another interesting aspect in 2019 concerned foreign languages included in searches by candidates. Contrary to expectations, jobs supposing speaking English ranked last, after those for German speakers (over 300,000 searches), Italian (195,000), Spanish (159,000) and French (152,000),” Badea said.
Jobs with the fewest searches in 2019 were those of architect, juridical councilor and secretary.
