Enhancing cyber defence discussed at CyberCon Romania 2023
The "Carol I" National Defence University (UNAP) coordinated the section "Enhancing Cyber Defence" within the CyberCon Romania 2023 conference, with the simulation and validation of the results of the European project SafePic19 under laboratory conditions, with a focus on Cyber-V and SafeScada products, representing a highlight of the event.
According to a press release sent on Tuesday, the event, organized within the Center of Excellence for Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Resilience, brought together opinion leaders and prominent specialists in the area, including from the National Defence Ministry (MApN), the "Carol I" National Defence University, the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), Fortinet, Kronton Services Romania, Eviden and Romsym Data.
A highlight of the event was the simulation and validation of the results of the European SafePic19 project under laboratory conditions, with a focus on Cyber-V and SafeScada products. This activity was coordinated by specialists from the "Carol I" National Defence University and Safetech, illustrating once again the vital importance of cyber protection.

The CyberCon Romania 2023 conference is organized by the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (RAISA), in partnership with the US Embassy in Romania.
The institutional partners of the conference include: the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC), the National Centre Cyberint, the Romanian Police, the Euro-Atlantic Centre for Resilience (E-ARC), the Romanian National Institute of Magistracy (INM), the European Institute of Romania (EIR) and the Romanian Institute of Financial Studies (ISF).
