Romania's situation will be debated in the plenary sitting of the European Parliament in the first session of October, where the head of Romania's Government Viorica Dancila was also invited, and in the second session, at the end of the same month, a resolution will be adopted, Romanian MEP Siegfried Muresan wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday.

"We have news about the debate regarding Romania's situation, which will take place in the European Parliament: the plenary debate will take place in the first plenary session of October (1-4 October)," Muresan wrote.

"The European Parliament will adopt a resolution about the situation in Romania in the second plenary session of October (22-25 October)," the MEP mentioned.

He also added that Prime Minister Viorica Dancila will be invited at the debate taking place at the beginning of October.

The Greens-European Free Alliance (Greens-EFA) of the European Parliament mentioned on 6 September, at AGERPRES request, that the violence at the protests of 10 August in Bucharest will be debated at the beginning of October in the plenary sitting of the European Parliament.

The debate on "the rule of law in Romania" was requested by the Greens-European Free Alliance and approved by the Conference of Presidents, of which the leaders of the political groups in the European Parliament are members.
