Estonia opens embassy in Bucharest in 2015

The government of Estonia announced on Thursday that it would open an embassy in Bucharest in 2015, the Foreign Ministry informs. Romania decided in November to open a diplomatic mission at Tallinn. The measure was proposed by the government of Romania and approved by Decree 665/3 November 2014 signed by Romania’s president.

 

Foreign minister Bogdan Aurescu and the head of Estonian diplomacy, Keit Pentus-Rosimannus, decided during a short meeting held at the OSCE Minister Council in Basel on December 4, 2014, to participate in the opening ceremonies for the two embassies in Tallinn and Bucharest.

 

At present, Romania’s diplomatic representation in Estonia is ensured by the Romanian Embassy in Helsinki and that of Estonia in Bucharest by the Estonian Embassy in Poland.
