EUROPAfest 2013 to bring 17 days of classic, jazz, blues and pop music to Bucharest

EUROPAfest 2013 brings the dwellers of Bucharest starting May 9, seventeen days of live music in several performances of jazz, blues, pop and classic music, given by over 300 artists from 52 countries.

Under the logo It's all about live quality music, EUROPAfest Festival schedules ten concerts, as follows: Opening Concert - Europe's Day, live concerts - jazz, blues, pop, classic, Bucharest International Jazz Competition, Jeunesses International Piano Competition, Caffe Festival, Jam Sessions, Jazz Workshops, Master-classes, Festival's Corner, Gala EUROPAfest, due on May 9-25.

'The Festival's this year edition celebrates 20 years since we have given the audience a festival of good music, professionalism and elegance. (...) This Festival will turn Bucharest into the capital of the world jazz,' EUROPAfest director Luigi Gageos told a news conference, on Tuesday.

At this year edition of the Festival, Margareta Paslaru will share her artistic experience as a pop singer to the attendees of the General Rehearsal workshop.

'I am happy to participate in this anniversary edition. It is impressive how many years you have succeeded to do so much for the young people interested in music, worldwide. I just pass on the information I have acquired before, to others to benefit from,' Margareta Paslaru said.

At the EUROPAfest Galla due on May 25, the Romanian Royal House awards the Diploma of Excellency for culture support.

Since 2005, EUROPAfest has happened under the high patronage of Princess Margareta and Prince Radu.
