European Literature Night unfurls 2013 edition in Bucharest

The European Literature Night returns to the Romanian capital on Wednesday, on the first day of the International Book Fair Bookfest 2013, with a novel route including 13 cultural institutes and embassies, which invite the literature fans to as many atypical spaces to meet the texts of classical and contemporary European authors.

According to a release sent by the European Commission's Resident Office in Romania on Monday, excerpts will be read by actors, authors, journalists and other public figures and the up-to-20-minutes' long readings will take place at the same time, every half-hour over 7:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m., the release added.

For the public to be able to make the most benefit from the night's literary offer, the same excerpt will be read in each of the meeting points, every half-hour, with the move being also aimed at covering as much of the planned route as possible.
