EY: 60 percent of the Romanian women have a mobile phone
Almost 60 percent of the Romanian women have a mobile phone and half of them own a smartphone, while most men, namely 72 percent own a phablet, shows a survey on The Use of Mobile Devices carried out by EY Romania, that was released on Thursday.
According to the research, women aged between 35-45 account for most of phablet owners, 46 percent, tablets 41 percent and mobile phones 35 percent, while smartphones (35pct), fitness bracelets ( 47pct) and smartwatches (57pct) are owned by women between 25-35 years of age.
The EY Romania survey also reveals that 58 percent of women have mobile phones and 53 percent own a smartphone, while men take a clear lead by owning phablets (72pct) and fitness bracelets (58pct).
At the same time, except for making payments and disseminating files which women have in common with men, women use mobile devices for a variety of purposes, chiefly social networks (59pct), games (57pct), shopping and entertainment (55pct each).
When it comes to applications, women mainly use those of lifestyle (67pct), health & fitness (59pct) and books (57pct), while men use applications of sport (63pct), utilities (58pct) and finance (55pct).
