FDI up 9.74 per cent January through October 2018

 Foreign direct investments increased by 9.74 per cent January through October this year compared with the same period in 2017, up to 4.561 billion euros, according to data released by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) on Friday.

"Direct investments in of non-residents in Romania totalled 4.561 billion euros (compared with 4.156 billion euros in January-October 2017), out of which participations to capital (including the estimated reinvested net profit) totalled 3.589 billion euros, with intra-group credits registering the net value of 972 billion euros," reads the BNR release.

The number of newly established companies running on foreign capital dropped 3.62 per cent January through October this year, compared with the same period of last year, to 4.718 units, according to data centralised by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC).

The 4,718 new companies had a subscribed share capital totalling 41.83 billion US dollars, up 16.4 per cent against January-October 2017.



More
