ForMin Manescu discussed on Monday with her Bulgarian counterpart about the building of the second bridge in Russe

The minister of foreign affairs Ramona Manescu discussed with her Bulgarian counterpart Ekaterina Zaharieva about the projects of infrastructure such as the second bridge in Russe and about the building of the bridge between Svishtov – Zimnicea. Zaharieva stated in a press conference that in this way traffic will be improved.

 ‘Every year when I examine the data I see an increase of almost 7% economic growth in 2018 against 2017 and almost 20% is the incease of the number of tourists. We are glad that we work with the Romanian government as regards the interconnection in energy. And about transport we have spoken a lot. We have already talked how important is to diversify energy. Similarly, we are working at the level of the ministers of transport  as regards the second bridge at Russe and as regards the project connected to the bridge between Sishtov and Zimnicea the traffic will be improved between the two states and the commerce and the business between our countries’ stated Ekaterina Zaharieva, minister of foreign affairs of Bulgaria on Monday during the annual reunion of the Romanian Diplomacy (RADR).

In her turn, Ramona Manescu stated that she is working together with her Bulgarian counterpart to meet the objective which refers to the adoption of a favourable decision with North Macedonia and Albania.

The minister of foreign affairs has also said that ‘ Romania and Bulgaria put to value the issue of the future of the union and want to have Europe characterized through unity, solidarity and especially real cohesion’.

The annual reunion of the Romanian Diplomacy (RADR) takes place starting on Monday to Thursday in Bucharest.
