Gov't approved the draft law regarding  teleworking or distance working

The government approved in the meeting on Wednesday the introduction of a new work contract – teleworking, namely work at a distance with the help of IT which allows the employee to develop his work at home, through the internet and phone.

‘We are introducing a new work contract – tele-work. It is very appreciated especially in very developed countries and mostly in Japan. In this contract the employee is allowed to work from a location he chooses himself or even from home, by using the information technology. The contract has advantages for both parties – for the employer there is a reduction of the administrative costs with the rent of utilities, fuel and auto fleet, and the employee reduces the cost of commuting to work and improves the balance between personal life and professional life’ said at the beginning of the meeting of the government the minister of work, Lia Olguta Vasilescu.

‘The regulation of tele-work will lead to flexibility an adaptation of the work relations to the socio-economic reality, by comparison to the dynamic evolution of the work market and will offer advantages both to the employee and the employer. Concretely, for the employer, there will be reduction of the costs for utilities, fuel consumption, and fleet. As regards the employee, he will eliminate expenses and time for  commuting and will have the liberty to choose his work place and value the work time, by improving the  report between the professional and personal life. Not lastly, by the introduction of this new forms of work  and duty organisation the chances of the persons with disabilities to get on the work market will increase’ the press release of the government says.
