Government freezes salaries of budget employees again
The salaries of budget employees will be frozen next year at the level of end of 2014, except for teachers whose salaries will grow in two instalments by up to 5% since March and another 5% in September. The reference value of the law of budget employees will be frozen next year at 600 lei, according to a draft emergency order.
“Some legislative measures should be promoted to foresee the way of establishing salaries of employees in the budget sector in 2015 and the extension in 2015 of budget measures leading to the use of public funds according to expense levels foreseen by the fiscal-budget strategy. Of all budget employees, teachers from pre-academic and academic education represents 28%. Considering the importance of the sector in the general development of Romanian society, more attractive salaries must be offered to this category of employees. Their motivation could lead to increased professional performance and a better training of pupils and students,”the document shows.
